Wireless AV sender - Help! I'm pulling my hair out

Good evening all

I have just bought a Wireless AV Sender set to use with my Sky+ HD box, and I can't seem to get it working. It's seems like it should be an easy process; I've concected the transmitter to the TV Out Scart connection on my Sky box, and connected the Receiver to the Scart input on my TV, but I am just getting a "no SCART signal" message?

The Senders are powered up and on the same channel (I'v tried the 3 channel options), the "magic eye" part of the setup works. I've tried connecting a TV in the same room as the sky box after verifying the SCART Out and SCART In with a SCART cable. Still no joy? Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance.

John

Re: Wireless AV sender - Help! I'm pulling my hair out

First thing I'd check is whether the Sky+HD is set to RGB on SCART and whether the wireless senders support it

I tried setting the SCART to PAL with same results...

Guessing here, but you probably have your main TV connected via HDMI (otherwise the HD part would be useless) and if the Sky box is like the V+, the Scart is probably disabled while using HDMI.

I think on the Sky+HD all outputs remain enabled

If they are like the V+ boxes, only the VCR scart will work with HDMI in use.

Re: Wireless AV sender - Help! I'm pulling my hair out

Thanks for the replys so far....

My Sky box is currently HDMI but I have hooked it to my TV with SCART cable as well to test, and it works fine over both with both connections hooked up. I have replaced the SCART cable with the Senders, and I am still not getting a signal. I am totally flummoxed.

Re: Wireless AV sender - Help! I'm pulling my hair out

Have you tried the senders with anything else, like a DVD or VCR?

Re: Wireless AV sender - Help! I'm pulling my hair out

I'm going to try that tonight; my DVD player is set to use only HDMI at the moment, and of course it's remote is somewhere in the attic! Grrrrrr.

Re: Wireless AV sender - Help! I'm pulling my hair out

Tried the senders with DVD player using every SCART signal setting available, still no signal getting to television. Senders are going back, will try a different model. Thanks for all help offered. FYI the AV Sender set I have been failing to set up is Total Control Wireless AV Sender

Re: Wireless AV sender - Help! I'm pulling my hair out

Just purchased AEI Digisender DX2000-LCD. Pluged in, worked straight away, done. My next problem is when my BT Vision box arrives on Friday!
