Another Sky / Magic Eye question...

Hi,

Problem background:
Standard Sky+ Box. Magic eye not working - no red light.
Set-up all the engineer menu / RF2 settings.
Got the magic eye plugged directly in the sky box (removing any cabling issues) - still no light.
Also tried all of this after a lengthy power-down (you never know) - no difference.
Tried it on another sky box - light comes on fine!

So is this a power issue/faulting RF2 connection? the box is more than 12 months old now. Any ideas / options?

thanks in advance,
Dave.

Re: Another Sky / Magic Eye question...

When you go into the engineers menu and turn RF2 on, make sure you go to the bottom and click on Save.

If having done that you still get the same problem, then it appears that you have a faulty RF2 output.

options.

Either buy another Sly+ box on ebay, or get a service call from sly

Re: Another Sky / Magic Eye question...

Thanks for this. I have been using the Save option, so it looks like it's faulty.

Thanks again for the response!

Re: Another Sky / Magic Eye question...

Press select button after 401 you have to do this fairly fast.

you do not need telephone line plugged in.

Re: Another Sky / Magic Eye question...

Just switch power on. do not adjust rf channel number.
don't forget to save settings after switching on.
