Sky have lost my payment

So this is my current situation. I ordered sky online in January 2008 and paid 150euro. At this time, I was considering moving house, so it turned out I didn't get onto sky till last week about installation. I told them i want the 150 back into my account before I proceed. So, they ring me today and tell me there is no record of my 150euro, they did not receive payment supposedly. I don't really get this as it's impossible to order online without paying. What's my play here? If I present my bank details will that suffice?

Re: Sky have lost my payment

Welcome to the forum,

Talk immediately to your bank and find out who the payment went to and the reference number for the payment reciept, then go back to sky with this as proof of your payment

you paid for the installation in jan 2008 ,but have waited nearly 2 yrs before arranging a installation date or are you not going to get sky anymore?and that's why you want your money back

as Kymmy said a bank statement will be proof of payment but i would imagine that after such a long period the record of the transaction may have been moved to archives by now
