ok , so does analogue channel M (the manchester channel) broadcast off anything other than winterhill, perhaps that can be used as the reference !

Channel M transmits from Farnworth. No other channel transmits from that site.

FANTASTIC......... i went to bed to watch tv and didn't get a signal, went outside to check the aerial and the bloody thing is hanging off the chimley one gust of wind and it'll be gone, i have no idea who to ring to sort it, do i call the tv licence people?

If you get someone in, watch out for the cowboy installer. It might be a busy time for the installers in your area at the moment, as people are now finding out their systems are not fit for switchover.
Put your postcode in at THIS website for registered digital installers in your area, particularly if you have no idea what they should be putting up on the roof.

thanks for the link!, the tv is back on now but im still gonna ring an installer to fix it.
