Re: Sky Forced To Share Premium Channels

Good news for people who can't get cable and are unable to receive sky or simply don't want a wok on the wall. I doubt we will ever see Sky Sports on terrestrial, but it opens the door to the likes of BT Vision to offer their customers.

However they don't, and if VM and BT get to have more than one bite of the cherry no reason why Sky shouldn't also.

Actually, the degree of manners required remains constant - the recognition you get for the manners you display is what varies.

Next time please post your source instead of simply assuming that the rest of us have the same amount of time to waste chasing news stories as you do.

Re: Sky Forced To Share Premium Channels

This artical is making me laugh, and l will tell you why, Ofcoms decision is like a kick in the teeth, broadcastors are wanted channels on the cheap from Sky, VM want this badly, so they can get channels on the cheap, which is typical, can l go up to Sir Richard or Niel Berkett and say, can l have a complete package from VM or fly anywhere in the world,on the cheap, what will he say, a BIG NO, they are in business to make money, Sky are entitled to charge what they want, they have TEN MILLION customers, VM have FOUR MILLION customers, and BT Vision have 400.000 customers. who will win the battle, obviously Sky, IF Skys customers were not happy, they would go with someone else.

I agree after all from things that have been said before we get better tv packages at lower prices than the rest of the EU. Freeview is a more comprehensive package than some ppv ones abroad. Don't rock the boat too much like they did in the USA, the broadcaster there split up the packages & the whole amount became more expensive still

Rants are good when the information in the rants is correct and is based on facts. Get my drift

My rant is based on fact, go over to DS it was on there concerning the figures, Why should Sky have to give in, to broadcastors who can't get it on the cheap.

What if sky are overcharging and ofcom have just said your going to have to sell at a reasonable price so the competitors don't go bust and sky are the only ones left cuz no one would want that.
