discovery ID aspect ratio

I just switched to sky from virgin and all is good except discovery ID has a weird aspect ratio so there are 2 black verticle strips either side of the picture. Anyone know what would cause this or why they would broadcast the channel different to others? Thanks.

Re: discovery ID aspect ratio

Somebody clearly hasn't seen 4:3 aspect ratio on a 16:9 displayed properly! You have Discovery ID broadcasting in 4:3.

can it be changed? If not, do you know why they broadcast this one channel in 4:3?

You're at the mercy of Discovery on that one.
