help connecting 3 items

I have a DVD recorder with 2 scarts av1 and av2 and a freeview box with 2 scarts TV and Aux, and a TV with one scart.

I want to be able to record from the freeview box as the TV is only analogue (yes I know, steam driven) but whichever way I connect them I cannot record freeview without either terrible interference, or getting a black screen with audio only.

Anyone got any ideas on how to connect them? Any help would be appreciated.

Have a look at the following link. With luck one of the options illustrated will work for you.

Re: help connecting 3 items

Tried everything. Would even buy a new tv if I could find a small one with 2 scart sockets but they dont seem to exist. Would a switcher box help, I have one with 3 scart sockets and 3 press buttons, but I still dont know how to wire everything in. Any ideas anyone.

Its a Daewood DVD DF4601p, a Sagem Freeview 6100T and at the moment a box standard portable with one scart.

Re: help connecting 3 items

Im giving up and sending the DVDr back, obviously I am expecting too much from technology, I know it should work but its just not logical!!! Maybe its the scarts but I have no way of knowing if they are good or bad, just too many variables to try every cable in every configuration. Ill wait until a manufacturer manages to make a small tv with 2 scarts which hopefully will eradicate the problem, it seems my freeview box and DVDR dont like sharing the same AV channel. Does no one else have this problem? When they turn off the analogue tv, even if you have a tv with freeview, without attaching a box you are only going to be able to record what you are watching which defeats the object and until they sell a small tv with 2 scarts the same problem will arise. I like to archive some items which is why I want to attach a DVDr. For everything else the Sagem PVR is fine.

Thanks for your help.
