Sky "headhunters" - did I miss a good deal?

Hi all,

I had some bloke come to my door today saying he was head hunting for Sky and was offering broadband and full channel package for £26.50 a month.
I queried BT line rental and he said that was included? Also, the BT line installation would be reduced from £120 or something to about £22.
He said the usual sales speak like if I went to sales people at a stand in a nearby town I wouldn't get as good a deal as with him.
Can anyone tell me the catches if any on such a deal, I'm wondering if it was genuine or after 3 months the price would double...

They came to my door a couple of weeks ago.

When we worked out the price for same TV package, slower BB, and SkyHD box instead of V+, it was £1.50 more for Sky.

Re: Sky "headhunters" - did I miss a good deal?

Many thanks foreverwar. I pay just under £40 for my package at the momnt which includes 10MB broadband, line rental and XL TV package. It was tempting when he said only £26 a month but I could see costs jumping up after a promotional period.

It would be an introductory package so only fixed for a set number of months, after that you would go back to full price. You would also only get Sky BB if your exchange is equipped for it, if not you have to pay for BT connect which would be significantly more per month than you were expecting.
