Setanta in talks with Sky on pay-TV deal

The beleaguered sports broadcaster Setanta is understood to be talking to rival pay-TV firm BSkyB about a deal that would see it offered as a part of a package of channels to Sky's subscribers.

Sky Digital News: NBC to move its channel about on the Sky EPG.

From July 6 Hallmark will move to Sky Channel 130 with Sci Fi+1 moving to Sky Channel 205 with Hallmark +1 moving to Sky Channel 150 at the same time.

Ideal Shopping Direct Plc has announced that it has agreed to take an additional daily five hour slot each morning, from 8 am to 1pm on Freeview channel 36 to broadcast live Create and Craft content.

This is expected to commence in July.

BBC HD, Channel 4 HD (Not in Wales) and ITV HD will launch on December 2nd on Freeview in Digital only areas.

Setanta Sports UK fall out: UFC 100 UK channel named.

UFC 100 will air LIVE and FREE on Sky channel 433, the mixed martial arts promotion have confirmed.

And viewers will be able to catch all the action from the biggest fight night of the year completely free of charge.

Anyone without a Sky subscription need not worry as every punch, kick and submission will be shown on the UFC's official website.

Setanta Sports UK fall out: Arsenal TV look set to be axe by Arsenal.

Canis Media has been appointed to sell the Setanta Sports-owned EPG slots on the BSkyB platform

The channel positions up for sale, include:

Setanta News;
Setanta Golf;
Racing UK - Maybe moving to Sky Channel 424;
Racing World - Maybe moving to Sky Channel 425;
Arsenal;
Celtic;
Rangers.

The rest are currently unallocated EPG slots. The channel numbers are: 418, 429, 430,431,432,433, 435, 436, 437 and 438.

That price is reasonable considering what you get with Sky, l have no complaints. I just wish that Sky could have a rival broadcastor for competition.

Sky Digital News: ESPN America to stay on air on Sky Digital.

While ESPN America will continue to broadcast to customers on the Sky platform, ESPN America will be changing channel numbers.

From 3rd August, ESPN America will move from Channel 417 to Channel 430.

ESPN America will also be moving out of the ‘News and Events’ pack and Sky customers will be able to subscribe to ESPN America as follows:

-Sky Sports subscribers can upgrade to receive ESPN America and also receive ESPN & ESPN HD for £9 per month
-Sky Customers can upgrade to receive ESPN America and also receive ESPN & ESPN HD for £12 per month

*ESPN HD available to Sky + HD customers
