Question Is this possible

Im considering getting this package from sky but could i get an option to record tv programs off sky for a fee or is that not possible

Um, you could probably get a second hand Sky+ box and then get them to bill you £9.75 a month for the Sky+ function

Pay once watch forever with HD is avaialble, but you do need to pay a Sky+ subscription to enable recording if you are no longer subscribed to any channels.

NB. pack includes only 2 months subscription, after which you will be charged if you do not cancel.

If you go the other Freesat route, then you will pay more to start with, but recording capabilty will not be subject to ransom!

Will freesat recorder prices fall when more approved models are available? possibly.
There is not a deliberate restriction on freesat kit, but to carry the freesat brand requires strict approval.
