Cheap Sky Multiroom

Thought that those of you who are due to Switchover to Digital in the future might be interested in this just in case the same deal is offered to you by Sky for existing customers.
We are due for our Digital Switchover in August and the deal being offered is £4.95 for each box if you don't have extra channels like movies or sports and £9.95 for each box if you do.

We would do it but we have Sky sports and £9.95 for each box is expensive for the kids rooms especially as they wouldn't watch the sports. Would be a bargain at £4.95 though if they had some way to block the sports from the extra boxes.

Re: Cheap Sky Multiroom

That does seem to be a strange offer. It seems to discourage you from taking more of their products. Usually the extra box costs the same no matter what you subscrible.

What would they do if you took an extra box at £4.95 and then after a month added premium content? Would you be charged for the premium content plus an extra £5 for each additional cost?

That's actually really interesting as I know someone who'd like multiroom. Not that I'm trying to drag it off topic but it's not that fantastic a deal, VM and it's predecessors have been running the 2nd box for a fiver for many, many years.

demented,

My point is though, not everyone has VM in their area. So regardless of the fact that you feel 'it's not that fantastic a deal' ,if you only have Sky or like me don't want VM then it IS a fantastic deal isn't it.
