Happy Christmas!

Just noticed the title. :-)
Well I tried it and what happens is - As soon as you plug in the Scart it immediately turns off the terrestrial TV and selects Scart RGB on the screen and goes to full blue screen. I then use the source button and I can select sources - it automatically has changed it from 1 (TV) to 4 (Scart 1). I can change it to others like scart 2, scart 3 and no difference (even with stuff plugged into the ports. Wii works fine on the 3 yellow/red/white.
I havent tried using a scart adapter (I do have one on an xbox360 TV) to try the Wii in the scart sockets. I'll do that now methinks
Thanks again -

Had a quick scan through the manual.

There is an auto-search facility which will search for channels.

If you have the aerial connected and Sky is on and connected to SCART 1,
cut the power to the TV for thirty seconds, then restore power and let the TV auto-setup try to restore things.

Important to stress that any gadgets attached to the TV are ON so that the TV auto-setup can register their presence.

If that fails to work, access the menu and select the auto-search.

When all is done, use your TV remote to scroll through the channels. For channels 1 to 5 you should get the five basic terrestrial channels. When you reach channel 6 or beyond on your TV I'm hoping you should receive the channel showing on Sky.

Also worth popping in a DVD to see what happens. How is that connected to the TV?

Hello - Yes thats all working fine and I am watching Sky via the RF side at present - Unfortunately it has no effect on Scart sockets though. DVD is also just blue screen.

Have you checked to see if the child lock is on for the scart sockets?

Nope - Looking frantically now

Swapping the Wii over to a scart converter and plugging into scart socket and it stops working so, definately just TV and Scart issue. Someone bought me Clarkson DVD for Crimbo and had to watch it on 'puter this morning which isn't quite the same.
If I don't sort it today, the sales beckon and thisun is going on the bedroom wall.

Off to look for Scart Locks/Kid Locks on the TV now
Fingers crossed cos thats about it now I reckon.

Thanks again all - Merry Christmas

That's definintely seems like the root of the problem. It shouldn't be picking RGB it should be auto selecting CVBS. No idea why the auto-selection has suddenly started failing though.

I notice that SCART2 does not support RGB. Do you get the blue screen when you plug the scart cable in to SCART2 and select SCART2 using the source button?

Yes it does the same for each scart - Ok, thats it now, I've scoured the web for a new TV and I'm off to the stores tommorow to see what deal I can get on a LG 42LG7000 or similar. This one can replace the one in my bedroom where I don't need scarts!

Thanks everyone for your kind support - Enjoy your Christmas's!
