My Simple TV Setup Won't Work :(

Hi guys,

I got BT Vision and have been using it as a sort of splitter between a TV in the living room and a TV in the bedroom. It worked fine!

I have one external aerial, which went into the main TV (living room one), which was subsequently connected via SCART to the BT Vision box, from which the aerial lead from the other TV (bedroom) went into, to share the signal. BT Vision was never used and always on standby and we use the Freeview built into the TV in the living room and have a separate Sagem ITD61 Freeview box for the TV in the bedroom.

The other day I removed the BT Vision box from the equation because its useless and is an eyesore. Instead, I attempted to connected the bedroom TV to an old VCR, which was the way we used to go it... (Th VCR player had an aerial port in the back.. So we'd feed the bedroom TV signal through that).

But that didn't work and TV in the bedroom didn't get a signal at all...

So then I replaced it back to the BT Vision way, but now its not working at all.. I'm pretty sure the set-up is how it was just yesterday (as described in para. 1), bt I can't understand why it won't work now.. It's so frustrating because it should be SOOO easy!!

Any light to be shed?

Thanks!

Aerial to rf in video, rf out video to splitter, aerial from splitter to tv in lounge and second lead to bedroom tv, should work, if signal is stong enough.

Re: My Simple TV Setup Won't Work :(

OK here goes. Not familiar with the BT vision stb so I'm assuming it has rf in and out.

Aerial to rf in bt vision, bt vision, rf out to video rf in, video rf out to splitter, aerial from splitter to tv in lounge and second lead to bedroom tv, should work, if signal is strong enough. Just miss out the video if you don't want to use it.

Please let me know if it works
