help please Sky HD

I live in Cable only block of flats which under law is having a giant digital ariel fitted to the roof.Sky will apparently be available thru this ariel.
I presume all Sky HD output will also be available?
Am I right?Cos Virgin HD is a disgrace.

What 'law' is being invoked to get an aerial installed? And what sort of aerial will it be? If it's a terrestrial aerial, you won't get any Sky subscription channels down it. You will just get whatever's on Freeview.

If it's a dish, then you can choose to get a Freesat or a Sky box to plug into it. The Sky box would obviously allow you to subscribe to whatever Sky channels you want.
