Internet TV
Is it illegal to watch?
For example, all premiership matches are available on Internet TV channels, live. If type a URL and then watch a match, how do I commit a crime watching it?

Re: Internet TV
You don't commit a crime, it is up to the provider of the internet tv to make sure that they have all the legal rights to broadcast the channel.

You need a TV Licence to use any television receiving equipment such as a TV set, digital box, DVD or video recorder, PC, laptop or mobile phone to watch or record television programmes as they're being shown on TV.

Sorry - yes, I should have said TV licence.
People tend to think that they only need a television licence if they have an actual television, whereas the licence is to receive the signal and programme.

Re: Internet TV
Whatever feeds i've looked at are not worth trying to watch all pixielated and freezing, hardly worth the trouble, unless someone knows decent feeds, i'll take my chance on being prosecuted, i have a TV licence

Otherwise everyone who owns a PC would need a licence in case they viewed stuff on the Internet - including every business.

Get a big dish and do it properly. Internet TV, especially for football is awful.

Don't know anything about law but I remember reading somewhere that it is illegal only if you broadcast it for profit, i.e. pubs etc. Personal viewing of streamed matches isn't illegal..... it is unwatchable anyway though
