Freeview/Top up TV news

Hi

I have been told via an email from UKTV that UKTV Gold (On TUTV Channel 26) will closed on October 6th.

But GOLD will start to broadcast on TUTV Channel 26 from October 7th.

So, in effect, the rebrand from 'UKTV Gold' to 'GOLD' will happen in the small hours of next Tuesday morning. Something we already knew, because it's already been discussed to death in the UKTV Watch thread as linked to by Mikey.

If you're going to post hot TV news, please try a little harder to cut through the PR spin you get from the press office and see the story for what it is - in this case, a complete waste of space.
