ITV Cuts

ITV News plans to axe over 400 jobs, including journalists and broadcast staff, under plans to save millions of pounds.

A letter sent to employees across the country said current staffing levels of 1,075 would be reduced to 646 - a cut of 429 jobs.

Unions condemned the proposals and warned of possible industrial action to fight them.

I don't think so ... Sky hasn't invested any new money in ITV, it simply bought the shares on the open market at that day's market price. ITV gained nothing from that and it will lose nothing from their eventual sale.
