Sky makes mistake. I lose out

Recently I ordered Sky+ HD to replace my Sky + box. During the order I had twice asked that my Sky + box be moved upstairs. The person who took my order confirmed this had happened and was put in the order notes. I paid for the new service agreed to a new contract and put the phone down a happy customer.

This soon changed when I logged into Mysky on the internet to check out my bill and saw a link titled Track order. I clicked it and saw the Sky+ HD order but no mention of the Sky + move. I rang up anyway as I wanted to swap my installation from a PM slot to a AM slot. I then asked about my Sky+ move only to be told that the Sky+ move was not on the order notes. I asked this to be added as I had already paid £60 to have this happen. I got told this was not possible.

I got told the only way for this to happen was to pay another £60 so they could re order it and then refund me or I could cancel the order and pay again.

I don't have another £60 to pay. Already in July I had paid Sky over £200 for bills, installation and new products. Plus I could not cancel as I had specifically booked that day off from work for Sky.

I do not want to move over to Virgin Media as there service is appalling but at he same time I expect some of help from Sky when its them that makes the mistake.

I would still like Sky + moved upstairs but I don't have the £60 to pay and then wait for a refund.

Any ideas here guys?

hi Central u have a couple of options.

1) when the installer comes comfirm with him what work he has got down to do for you if it does not state about moving ur sky+ box tell him that u payed for it. he SHOULD call his team manger up to try and do a same day resolotion for you (be warned tho as this is changing the job spec he may not have enought minits left in his days rota to do this)

2) Email [Moderator Edit] and see if they can help you out

[Moderator Edit (Rob M): As well intentioned as I'm sure the assistance is, we try to avoid people posting the email addresses of individuals within companies unless that individual has specifically approved their details being posted.]

Installer has already been last Thursday. Asked him about it and said he could not do it as it was not booked in
