Sky in 2 rooms

Hi,

I posted on here last year about having sky in 2 rooms. I live in a flat, have the digi box in the front room and want to have sky in the bedroom. The 2 rooms are just seperated by a door.

I was advised to get coax cable and a magic eye. I got both and tried to set it up but I think I got the wrong cable. I need one with a 'female' plug (to go into the digibox) and one with a 'male' plug (to go into the magic eye). The one I have is both male.

I've looked on-line for cable but before I spend (or throw away) anymore money I just wanted to ask a few questions. The magic eye that I have, when I plug it in to the tv in the bedroom, the red light doesn't come on. Should it come on straight away or only when it is 'communicating' with the sky box via the proper cable?

Also, I've been looking at reviews of AV Senders and I'm not sure whether to just try one of those or try the cable first, obviously the sender would be a lot tidier! I've read that wireless BB can cause interference but that shouldn't be a problem if I switch that off at night.

Has anyone got an AV Sender and if so, what are they like? I've been thinking about buying one from a reputable store so if it's no good I can at least return it, rather than buying one online.

Any thoughts?
