Is it just me or is the Audio/Video Sync slightly off on the sci-fi channel

Re: Sci-fi (sky)
Might just be me but it didn't seem right.
Looked to me as if when they were talking the voice wasnt quite in sync with the lip movement.

Re: Sci-fi (sky)
there can be a number of reasons for that for example your tv or your receiver or it could be the channel itself.

Yep although it doesn't appear to be a problem on other channels... Oh well don't usually watch sci-fi that often thesedays.
Actually if im honest I don't often pay much attention to whats on TV.

Re: Sci-fi (sky)
Sci-Fi was doing that when I was watching last night via VM, so I guess it must've been at their end if it was happening on Sky as well. I hate it when that happens though...it doesn't normally make something unwatchable but it is major-league annoying.

If it was your TV then it would be the same for every channel.
If it was an issue with the reciever then changing channel would clear the video and audio buffers and sync would be restored.
As a few people were complaining then it could either have been the material itself, or the time stamps in the audio stream got out of whack (a DVB term, I've just made up). I'd say most likely it was the material.

And I've worked on Digital TV projects across Europe for 9 years. Theres timestamps which tell the receiver when to play the audio packets. Unless you have a receiver which ignores timstamps then changing channels or rebooting will resolve the issue, unless the source material is at fault.
