Help !! Virgin Box rf output??

Have bought a living room pc that should conect to the RF output of my virgin pace Di4001NC box, but dont get the same output that is given on the scart, just noise. spoke to pc setup helpline and they say i need to go into the engineers menu and change the rf output.. is this right, and how do I do it?

On the Pace boxes I thought it was a little screw on the back, same as you used to have to do with VCRs, not through the engineer menu.
