But these are HD boxes. HD with no subscription.
A sky HD box costs a lot more than £119.

These BBC HD boxes are 'plug and play' with a lovely EPG, unlike a FTA HD box which has to be set up manually and has no EPG.

Not with a non-sky FTA box. You might get 'now and next' but not a 7 day EPG.

Re: BBC Freesat
iv used a FTA receiver in the past for Sky FTA & i was getting seven day listings :o)
---------- Post added at 17:10 ---------- Previous post was at 17:08 ----------
here is an example of a much better FTA HD receiver for £99.99 which is ''Plug ''n'' play'' ready; pre-loaded with all Freesat channels currently available in the UK http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?...99265&doy=25m4 plus you can add two CAMs where as with the freesat ones you cant.

Re: BBC Freesat
EPGs are encrypted so that they only work on authorised boxes. That Fortec box isn't supported by Sky or Freesat.

Re: BBC Freesat
as i say it doesnt say so without trying one its hard to know for sure. although iv gotten full seven day EPG listings using a FTA receiver, without owning a Fortec Star Passion its hard to know for sure. either way tho id prefer a Fortec Star receiver any day then a Bush or Goodmans, as the Fortec Star ones are much better quality & will last longer.
