Re: MagicEye not working...

You will have to retune your second tv or change the rf output of the sky box usualy the default setting on the sky box is ch69.

It is better to change the setting on the on the box as you know there is no interference on the the channel the tv is tuned into.
press services 401 select on sky to access hidden menu then choose rf outputs change channel no, it goes from 21 to 69 try each one until you get a the menu on 2nd tv then store the setting.

Re: MagicEye not working...

the default rf channel is 68 and if ur box has the new HD menu then 401 select will NOT work as it has been changed to 'Services' button, then 0 0 1 followed by 'Select'

Re: MagicEye not working...

Thanks for the info I had the thought as I wrote my reply that they may have change the code on the new hd box.
Pity the engineer who installed the box didn't adjust the setting in the first place. But then I wouldn't have learnt something new today.

Re: MagicEye not working...

Best way is to have someone in the other room shout out when the picture appears. But yes you will have to go through them, unless you you know what channel number the last box was on.Try ch69 first though.
Fingers crossed it was set to ch69.

Re: MagicEye not working...

Re: MagicEye not working...

If your tv shows the channel no in the menu some don't.

Plus there is a possibility that ch 68 or an adjacent channel no is used by an off air transmitter which would cause interference.Which is why I suggested going through them all until he found the right one which is clear, and it won't take that long to do.

Re: MagicEye not working...

Hi anyone who can help me,
I have a similar problkem that needs a resolution.

I have a main TV with Sky+ Box which connects to a Amplifier with built in Bypass in my loft with 8 outputs.

I have another 5 TV's dotted around the house which are tuned into the Sky channel without any problems all work fine.

I have a Magic Eye connected to the TV in our bedroom which again is working fine.

I have bought a second Magic Eye which I want to set up on a TV in another room and I can't get the red light to come on on the TV I want to use it on !!!

The second Magic Eye works fine on the TV in our bedroom though !!!

Please can anyone help me get it working on the TV I want it to work on before I pull my hair out ???!!!

Best Regards,
Steve.

Angry Re: MagicEye not working...

I have a similar problem in that my magic eye works intermittently on the TV in my bedroom. Sometimes I can change channels, fast forward, rewind etc but sometimes it won't. Especially annoying if I am fast forwarding through adverts and then the "play" button won't work!!!

Any ideas?

Thanks
