Can someone please tell me if i can use BT Vision V-Box as a freeview reciver and recorder without the BT Hub and broadband? I have AOL broadband and have the vision reciver which was delivered to me by mistake and no one has collected it.

Re: BT Vision

Personally I wouldn't dream of touching any of this "TV via broadband" stuff with a bargepole. Broadband providers have yet to establish a reliable way of getting the web via broadband, never mind TV.

Frankly, the connections on offer at the moment simply aren't up to it, especially not with all the "fair use policies" that almost cut you off for "abuse of the service" the minute you receive more than two emails at once.

Doubtful. PVR's with built on Freeview decoding tend to be limited to recording from that.

Re: BT Vision

It needs BT Broadband to work as it gets the EPG and your scheduled recordings off a BT server.

Also it can only record off freeview.
