Some customers were getting movies and sports free for a few weeks with no extra charge. The 6 mix your on is still £21 which leaves £3.95 on what you have paid. Have you ordered anything on Sky Box Office? Sounds like a box office movie to me that you've been charged for.

wouldnt mind a discount of sky, giving customers who pay less more freebies than those who pay lots each month seems an incentive to downgrade.

For example I have sky sports and all 6 mixes but have never been given movies free.

SKY dont really give any discounts now even to retain - they were quite happy to let me go even though I was going to take more products and have had them for years

Re: Whats going on with Sky's pricing??!

well will see, my sky+ box died in the middle of the arsenal game and I had to ring to get my card authorised on my old plain sky box (which incidently is sooooo much faster than my sky+ box). There was some kind of error so couldnt auth it and the supervisor never rang me back meaning I missed the football.

So currently not only am I due a replacement sky+ box but I also should be compensated for been unable to use sky sports a premium channel so will see what they say when I ring again tommorow.

Difference between discounts and compensation for loss of a service you are paying for - I hate speaking to Sky customer Services, I have found most of them to be very rude.

Re: Whats going on with Sky's pricing??!

...agree. Despite the (many) complaints on here about VM's customer service, I have always found Sky's CS folks to be ten times worse. They have always been obnoxious, rude and arrogant every time I've had the displease to speak to them. But Sky's CS holds nothing on T-Mobile's....they are just the pits.

Overall, I find VM's CS to be polite and efficient. But as with all companies' CS personnel, frequently VM's CS staff are ill informed or have out of date information. For a communications company, I expect communications to be top notch.

Oh, and as for Sky's pricing, I managed to get a 10% discount yesterday. Not as much as before, but they do offer them, if they're in the "mood".

Re: Whats going on with Sky's pricing??!

got new sky+ box and discounted sky world for 3 months as compensation so turned out ok.

Sky staff have always been polite when I spoken to them, I find the 0870 a joke but I got a number stored in my phone that I got of saynoto0870.com that bypasses all the menus going straight to a operator and is a 02 number.
