Atleast Sky were honest. I like honest adverts. With Sky, it does exactly what it says. With Virgin, you are never quite sure if they will cut your broadband, overprice you or simply mess you about with prices. For example if you are a customer and you wish to go on a thirty for three services. virgin are the Fagin and the Artful dodger of the 21st Century.

Re: ASA bans Virgin-ripping Sky ad
Errm ... Sky were dishonest. That's the whole point of the complaint that was upheld. They claimed they believed in consistently low prices rather than giving the best deals only to new subs, whereas the ASA found that Sky gives cheaper deals to new subs just like VM.
They then tried to wriggle off the hook by claiming they were only talking about standard prices, not special offers, which is disingenuous to say the least. I wouldn't trust Sky any further than I could throw James Murdoch. Although I'd like to try.

LOL, and Sky aren't?
That article clearly quoted a Sky customer who couldn't get a deal offered to new customers, a claim Sky held against VM.
VM are not perfect, and things do change, but as Chris has pointed out this time, Sky nalsed it up and have gotten a slap for it.

Re: ASA bans Virgin-ripping Sky ad
What bugs me about SKY ad`s is the BT charge hidden in the very small print!
