Re: my sharp tv has a color problem. showing mix colors.

Has anyone been playing with magnets, speakers or anything else that may generate a magnetic field?

Is it zones of colour, patches?

Switching off for about 20 minutes (completely off, not just standby) should trigger a degauss cycle at the next switch on, if the effect is reduced, repeat a couple of times.

Have you checked the scart lead is plugged in correctly. You get some really wierd colour combinations if they come loose.

What is a scart lead. Where can it be found?

Re: my sharp tv has a color problem. showing mix colors.

If it's an LCD TV then sounds like the Scart cable is set to RGB mode but not all the pins are connecting correctly.

If it's a CRT TV then it could be the above problem or one of the guns isn't firing (could be the tube or the gun driver circuit.....

If red is missing you'll get a green/blue picture, if blue is missing you'll get a yellowy picture and if Green is missing you'll get the symptoms you describe....

Try the TV on the analogue channels and that'll instantly tell you if the SCART lead is the problem. Also below is a link to what a scart lead/plug is

What was the point of bumping a week old thread just so that you could ridicule someone?
