Please help! I can not watch TV

i just bought a TV today, but when i connect it to the TV aerial and after tuning, I receive very low quaility pictures. When i connect through my freeview, i do not even receive any picture at all( i have already checked postcode coverage). Can anyone help me to solve this problem please. Thank in advance.

You might need a new outside aerial or the cable connected to the outside aerial could be damaged

But my flatmate who is using virgin media TV box still can watch TV as normal

Guess he is using cable which doesn't come through the aerial.Get your aerial checked.

True he is getting his signal from VM alone, as we get from VM with the basic channels.

Best to get the areal and the cable checked as the problem is there.

Or in the setup of the tv.

Remember analog tv will be no more soon so if it was me i wouldn't have purchased one.

2010 is the turn off date right enouph. couple of years yet.

Yea you are right, area by area. As multiskilled said to me, he is due to get turned off in 2012.
