That was pretty much my point. But I'd like others to know that the supportive threads are blatant propaganda. When the supporters can't answer simple questions and skirt them at best, there's no reason to take any of them seriously...
I hate to be dismissive on public forums, but this has been such a long and tenuous thread that I can't actually think of anything constructive to say in their defence.
Until someone can post at least a channel line-up and some screenshots of the EPG, I for one am not interested in what they have to offer.
If someone does then I'll be happy to reconsider. As it stands, I won't touch them with a (very long) barge-pole.

Thanks for taking the time to post a copy of the letter Craig - for those of you who have signed up it's nice to see some movement forwards.
However your post does poke a big hole in angelabbie18's post claiming to have 700 channels.
While I've been one of the bigger cynics in this thread through I've always said if it eventually proves itself I might consider it for my wifes Dad. At this stage though I'm glad I told him not to sign up. He doesn't need the stress of having money taken from his account unexpectedly, little or no information from them for months after and even now no concrete evidence (i.e. something actually showing the product) that the service signed up for way back when this started will actually be delivered as promised.
Edit: On re-reading that letter, have they told you what "streaming a limited amount of channels daily" means? I can't help but get a feeling that means that channels are only streaming for a few hours a day otherwise why even use the word daily. To me that means it broadcasts once a day (like Virgin 1 which only broadcasts at certain hours on freeview) instead of continuous broadcasting (as you'd expect from a TV provider). (I could of course be looking for fault where none exists!)

Re: Play TV?
I do know for a fact that training of engineers for a national rollout of play tv is starting next week. As with all new systems and technologies there have been hold ups and only time will tell how good this system is.

Could you kindly clarify how you know this for a fact, please?
No worries, I found a post to which you had replied to in the affirmative, about a month ago.

I am a little dubious as it was supposed to launch September, so were all the engineers put on hold from August until now, and if so, what did they live on for the last three months or so?

Re: Play TV?
I have actually seen play tv system up and running, limited number of channels though, other than freeview but the box had just arrived from manufacturers and was in factory default state and obviously will be subject to to firmware developments from headend server. The box is quite compact, about the size of a sheet of A4 and about 4-5 cm thick. Freeview tuner built in, VeHDa system and hard drive(various sizes) included.
