Moving sky card?

Hi,
Is it possible/allowed to use my sky card at another address.

Im just about to move out of student house into my mates flat. but sky have told us that we must keep to the contract and cannot termintate until september. my mate has sky installed but hasnt got a sky card(todler lost it) and is in arrears with sky so cant order a new one. plus im subscribed to more channels.

So can i take my sky card to hers and use it in her STB or even take my stb and swap the whole lot?

Normally the cards are paired with the box and won't work at another address especially if youre within the year contract.

Re: Moving sky card?

Again it depends if youre in your first Year of Contract, as they often try and dial home to make sure theyre at the right telephone number

Re: Moving sky card?

u should be ok to move the card/box to your mates address just dont plug it into the phone line if u have multi room now in ur current flat then im afraid u wont be able to.

but please be aware as u are now moveing out off your old flat u will need to inform sky that u are moveing and will need to change the address as wen a new student in the flat moves in and they wish to have sky they wont be able to as there is already a account on that address..

so i would do.

1)get ur mate to call up sky and cancel (they may even offer him a deal to stay beleave it or not)
2)change ur details to ur mates address but leave it in ur name and bank account
