Very good little app

Its main function is to periodically check Google & eBay, & auto-reboot the router if they both time out (the time out period can be changed, as can the sites being checked). This is very handy, as the router does not always reconnect when the connection goes (e.g. if the noise margin drops so much that the connection grinds to a halt, the router won't see this & won't reboot itself, not until the connection is totally lost).

It can also be used to:

Extract detailed stats from the router (error levels, ADSL mode, etc.)

Extract the hidden ADSL username & password (which can then be used on another router in place of the Sky one, if you don't mind breaking Sky's terms & conditions).

Auto-reboot the router if the noise margin drops to a user-defined level (very handy for those periods in e.g. the evening when the noise margin drops so much that the connection slows & then dies).

Issue custom commands to the router.

And more.

I use the "auto-reboot if noise margin drops to x" feature in conjunction with the custom commands - I have a custom command which tells the router to resync at a particular noise margin after a successful reboot (can also be issued manually). Together, this means that when the noise margin drops to x dB, Bounce reboots the router, & then once it has rebooted, Bounce then tells the router to resync at y dB. Helps me keep my connection nice & stable, rather than having the router always sync at the default noise margin of 6.9 dB (which can then lead to the connection dropping as the noise margin falls to 6 dB or below). Currently on over 330 hours of uptime, since my last reboot.

Not always, the broadband can be very slow in some areas, and equally is not avalaible in some areas. (Out of about 20 people i've asked in the local area only one of them can get 8mb, most can only get 1mb (if they pay for 16))

Also although i can get SkyTV, its not reliable enugh, every air craft that takes off from the airport interfers with the reception.

So altough its avaliable, its not viable with the number of aircraft that take off each day (Heathrow :s)
