XLeague TV Launches Tomorrow on Sky

source: http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=25013

Quote:
XLeague.TV, the first British TV channel dedicated to competitive gaming, will be launched tomorrow, May 16, on Sky channel 291.

XLeague will show both live and recorded matches with commentary and analysis, and feature league and tournament play. It will also screen gaming news, reviews and magazine shows.

Although eSports competition is traditionally PC-focused, XLeague.TV will feature prominent console titles across all multiplayer genres, including Resistance: Fall of Man, Pro Evolution Soccer and Project Gotham Racing.
Gonna be tuning in to this to see what it's like.

Re: XLeague TV Launches Tomorrow on Sky

A games channel?

Hmm.

If it's like the others, it'll turn out to be crap, & then eventually be replaced with another Babestation type channel.

Still, be nice if it was actually a good one for once...

Dunno, mate... you might want to give 'em a call and ask. The article only mentions Sky.

Watched some of this over the last couple of days. Most impressed so far and far much better than the other offerings we have had.

Worth a tune into

Re: XLeague TV Launches Tomorrow on Sky

think getting clanners to make their way to the studio will put many off.
no reason why they just can't host the server then comment over that.

Very true, Good point.

Still worth a look and that presenter? whats her name? she started off her carreer on one of those "soft porn" channels. Emily Booth? Wrong sort of joystick for her

Re: XLeague TV Launches Tomorrow on Sky

Actually, she presented a game show on (I think) Channel 4 a couple of years ago, and, IIRC wasn't that bad.
