Channel 4 enter your pin?

I'm not a sky customer but my girlfriends parents are. It says we can't access channel 4 without a pin.

This happening to anyone else?

Is C4 showing a film? Does it have a 15 or more rating?

What are the parental settings on the STB? If they are set too low then every 15 or over film will require a pin.

Don't know the PIN though. Spoke to Sky

They got real good DPA skills, might have to write to ofcom about that one. Got India, didn't know the name on the account or the password, so the guy told me them (way to go sky).

Gave me a PIN which doesn't work, when I said it didn't work said "Well it should phone 0870809980" then hung up. That number is only 10 digits not 11 so rings through as NUT.

Ooooo gets better, Sky can't setup a PIN now and I need to have a tech out to reset it, but that's gona cost.

Gota go now passing over the laptop to them to visit VirginMedia.com

How old is the box? If its from the last couple of years then last four digits on smartcard is default.
If older then old P1 smartcards last four digits but your unlikely still to have it!

It's about 6 years old. It's okay, there is a free view box going in till the VM install.
