Not happy with Sky+

If you've read my previous posts you'll know that I was going to change to V+, but OH wanted to keep a couple of sports channels that aren't available on V (that's another story).
I got a Sky+ box for free and no installation cost, but I'm tied to a 12 month contract again.
I thought also (and I'm sure I read it somewhere) that like Virgin you could view a selection of the previous weeks programmes.
I can't find anything. Tried to phone them just now and got put through to India - I just had a query for heavens sake. Had to hang up as the woman knew nothing.

Re: Not happy with Sky+

You are asking for something that doesn't exist, which is proably why she didn't know about it.

Sky are planning to do some sort of pseudo video on demand with the reserved space on some Sky + boxes, where they will record stuff when you're not watching it into a separate part of the box that you can watch or not whichever you like.

But it's not there yet, they've just rolled it out to Sky HD boxes and only some Sky+ boxes have the required specs to handle it.

Thanks for that.
I'm counting down the days until I can get v+. only 360 days to go.

Re: Not happy with Sky+

not sure if it will help you, but you might find you can downgrade to the lowest sky package and then get V+ that way

If it's as bad as you say it is and it was installed recently then you have a certain period of time in which you can cancel your contract. Look into it.

Read the first post, especially the bit where OH wants something not on VM
