connection dvd recorder to freeviw

i have now eventually managed to get my freeview working but i cant seem to record anything now on my dvd recorder when i scan for channels it scans on av4 which is where i have my dvd i have tried changing it but nothing is happpening i have done a search on here and not found nothing and installation issues seems to be only for virgin can someone help please

How have you got things connected up at present?

Is your freeview box standalone or integrated with the television?

Your connections should be as they are shown to the VCR, not the DVD. Is that how you have it set up?

You need to set the input of your recorder to be the scart socket that the freeview box is connected to when you want to record from it...

i had it set it up as vcr but they didnt work i then tried setting it uo as the diagram in the manuel but that didnt work i googled the make of my dvdr and got a link to sony tutorials http://support.sony-europe.com/Tutor...grams.asp?l=en i can now watch terrestrial channels on the tv but to watch freeview i have to turn dvdr off and i can watch it through av4 but sony are on about av1 but my scart to my tv is av4 i still cant get terriestrail through my dvd even though i have rescanned it for channels...

i have no made some progress i can now watch freeview on av4 and other terrestrail channels on the tv but i fi want to record something from terrestrial i cant watch freeview as av4 is where my dvd is what i want to do is get freeview through my tv
