Dish Removal
Hello i hope I am posting this in the right place, I have one of those revolting SKY Dishes on the side of my house (from the previous owners I would like to add!!!)
Is there a number I have to ring to get SKy to take it down or will I have to do it myself?
The reason i ask is because the birds like to sit on the bracket connecting the dish to the house and play drop the bomb on my car, the dirty little .....

The one I have on my bedroom wall isn't what I'd call revolting, what type of dish is it?

Whether you think the dish is revolting or not is a matter of opinion. I personally think all the sky (and indeed most satellite) dishes I have seen are hideous.

Re: Dish Removal
I thought Sky equipment belonged to the subscriber, so why didn't the previous occupants take it with them, as they must've taken the box :/

Re: Dish Removal
Not all people leave by their own choice. This is actualy quite common, for Old dishes to be left on Ex-rental property( have you bought the house / flat ) if the landlord was bitch they won't let you do any thing yourself and the dish may have been shared between people in the house so couldnt be removed.
Its only four bolts and a bit of sealent to stop the rain from running in, just take care up the ladder.

My dish is fine as well at the back of the house.....not to big at all. My mates father has the best of everything and was one of the first in Scotland to have a dish and I'm not talking Sky, it was massive and moved and took up most of the garrage roof. When your a kid all the same it looked fantastic when my mum and dad only had the four stations lol.
Thankfully my cable was done neat for my now modem, next doors is a mess with a wee box up the wall done by NTL. mine ran up the side of a pipe to the eves theres is all over the front wall.

Re: Dish Removal
Round here if it's a rented place the dish is pulled down & trashed by the council/HA workers once the occupiers who had it installed leave, if they don't take it with them of course.
