Channel 5

I get my main channels from Sutton Coldfield and Channel 5 from Lichfield

According to http://www.wolfbane.com/cgi-bin/tva.exe? SC is 3 Bearing Degrees and Lichfield is 8. But the Channel 5 picture is crap at the best.

I am 5 miles from the SC mast and 8 from Lichfield. I have a indoor aerial but being so close I would of thought it would of been ok.

Any ideas?

Also is there any page on teletext anymore that allows us to see what region and mast we are using?

Thanks

Re: Channel 5

You could try a signal booster or an even better option is to switch over to Freeview as it'll only cost you between £30-80 for a Freeview box and then the cost of an aerial.

Freeview coverage check.
Freeview channel list.

I'd still get a Freeview box though, then you shoudn't have the problem. You might even get away with using a set top aerial, seeing you're so close to the transmitter and Freeview has a very good lineup of channels now too.

Re: Channel 5

Are you in Leicestershire as that is one of the worst areas to get reception, freeview included.

Not unless Leicestershire is 5 miles from Sutton Coldfield I am not. And surely Waltham mast is better suited for That area anyway.

Re: Channel 5

Get freeview. For the W Mids only five is from Lichfield, if you are that close the bearing will make more of an issue than say Nottingham where you can pick up fringe signal from Sutton Coldfield/Lichfield.

All digital comes from Sutton Coldfield.
