Select button problems

Hi,
Don't know if anyone else has posted this before but I have a strange problem with my select button on my remote (and have had for a long time). It appears to work on most things such as confirming exit on various menus but when it comes to entering my password (I think it is Sky movies 10) and move on to the OK part the select button does not appear to register. The strange thing is my parents who live about 2 miles from me also have the same problem. Are we missing something (other than Sky Movies 10...)?

Sky Movies 10, I thought it was only Sky movies 1-9 on cable, at least that's all I get

It's Sky, as they actually have a Select button.

Ah, that explains my confusion since this is posted in a ntl TV thread.

I think i need to go look at my TW remote, maybe we too have a Select button.
