Finally got my Sky+ Installed

Well, after waiting months and trying several different Sky installers i finally got it put in this morning, although it was a close call - they had to go throgh the block of flats next door to get up on the roof after they discovered that my Skylight in the close was "too high" (WTF?) and that the neightbours above me werent in.

So now i have Sky+ in and a new Pace box which is rather smart.

Nothing on the telly though

Unfortunately, the buggers never gave me a cm more coax than would stretch to the box so i have had to buy some more from an online supplier to give me some extra length in my Coax run, but apart from that - im happy.

Re: Finally got my Sky+ Installed

One thing thats not as good is the Favourites (although getting the favourite channels in there is way better).

I would prefer it if it came up as a menu like with NTL.

The EPG is Waaaaaaaaaayyyyy quicker though.

Anyone know how i can get rid of that dammed red dot?

Re: Finally got my Sky+ Installed

Press live pause then play straight away and the red spot vanishes till you change channels or switch off.

Re: Finally got my Sky+ Installed

Apparently, there is a forthcoming software mod that is rumoured to contain an option to remove it.

But you know how rumours are
