New channels on preview.

My mother has a freeview box and is slowly getting the hang of it. I went to see her yesterday and she said she couldn't get it to work on 'TV' but the digital Radio was fine. When I switched it on a warning came up advising that new channels had been added.
One is a Teachers channel which only broadcasts between 12.00AM and 6.00AM.
The other channel is called Red Hot and is obviously a low grade po.r.n channel.
When I pressed button 1 to get BBC1, it kept going back to the bright red page advertising channel 061 the Red Hot channel.
I did a full update download and all the channels displayed in the downloaded menu but the only channels shown in the guide where the 2 new channels. I fiddled with all the menu's and somehow ( not sure how ) managed to get all the channels back in use.
Anyone else had this happen?
