Re: Digital TV boxes.
if you do not want top-up tv, then amazon.com has a sagem for 39.99 and an alba for 49.99 both are ok for freeview but incopatible with top-up tv

Re: Digital TV boxes.
Went for the Philips DTR500 at £65 from Amazon, also at £70 in Tescos. Top up TV looks a bit crap for the money.

Re: Digital TV boxes.
You should have got an Echostar or a Setpal, the tuners are rather sensitive and even work here, where the analogue is quite frankly ****.

Re: Digital TV boxes.
Make sure it has audio in/out as well as scart if you want to get the sound into a hifi or surround sound system, dual scart would also be an advantage.
Got my mum a Phillips, it works very well. The speed of the EPG and interactive is amazing after using Ntl's EPG/ interactive.
