Re: Pipex aquires Bulldog.
So, one company with appalling customer service gets bought by another company with appalling customer service.
As they say, a perfect fit.

I believe that is called, in business process improvement speak, "synergy" - where the sum is greater the the two separate parts - but in this case, probably negative-synergy

Re: Pipex aquires Bulldog.
It is interesting to note that Bulldog recently implemented the same billing system (Cerillion) as Pipex are in the process of implementing.

Re: Pipex aquires Bulldog.
DON'T touch Pipex with a bargepole. I'm warning you all. If you think ntl is bad, double it and you start to come close to the direction Pipex has been going in.
It's the same scenario, they are now comprised of a myriad of separate (often badly run) businesses they have purchased and largely done nothing with.
Homecall is a prime example and that now makes up over half their customer base. If you respond to those Hoff adverts, it is 90% certain you will get Homecall Broadband which is absolute, total, traffic-shaped rubbish. Advertised as "no cap" which is a sick joke, a cap would actually be better than what they actually do.
Be warned! Stay away! Or I shall be back to say "I told you so".

Re: Pipex aquires Bulldog.
Well Bulls**t were bad enough, if Pipex are worse, that should be enough warning. In over 20yrs on the net, Bulldog make NTL look like the best isp ever, and to be fair, NTL are better than most, at least there phone system works, and how often are you actually without BB?
My phone and BB was often off for a week at a time, try that 3 times in 3 months.
Thats when the the phone wasnt crackling, or buzzing or sounding like the Daleks were making housecalls. The only thing they did do was deliver 8 meg out of 8 meg.
When it worked.
