Sky Fibre 40/2 Product receives upload upgrade

The Sky 40/2 product has received an increase on the upload to 10mb meaning its now 40/10 according to DS forum

Did you reboot? Some people have had to reboot.

Could they not ask OpenReach to do it or are you saying the modems cannot be rebooted via network?

Yes its possible to reboot the modems remotely or re-establish sync. I doubt they would use the feature though.

Chaps, I never rebooted the Openreach modem, I just rebooted the Sky router from its GUI and all was good

They can ask Openreach to do it, yes, and apparently they have.

It does require their own router to reset to re-establish connection parameters though, as these are only set on the initiation of the dial-up session. Looks like they didn't do this part, no idea why.
