that clears up a lot, thanks qas so after the 12 month line rental saver i can switch to say a cheaper provider such as primus.

the two calls a month is a pain, i dont even want it but my dad and BT insist, BT with it being a new install.. i have no current bt linkup, i doubt theres even a line fitted. i guess ill have to order 2 take aways a month

If you can't switch to Primus now I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Personally I dial the automated menu system at my workplace though any "Press 3 to be talked down to by a drone" will do, e.g. Royal Bank of Scotland, listen to as much of the dreary menu as you want, put phone down, and redial. Once a month and after 7pm so it comes out of free allowance.

they wont switch VM customers. only BT will port. don't why but its one of primus rules. once ive ported over to BT ill be on their switch to which primus should be able to handle once the 12months is over
