No, you can only have 38mb 40GB limit or 76mb down unlimited usage. There is no 38 unlimited anymore.

The one TBB BQM I've seen isn't bad, but that's just one.

Sky charge £30 for broadband alone. The equivalent cost with BT is £26. You can't compare price including phone with one company to price excluding phone on another. Incidentally, I'm paying £35 on BT, for phone plus broadband.
And yes, BT have by far the most wifi hotspots, though most don't count since most are just other users' home hubs. You also get access to the global FON network.

Re: Fibre Optic Offers
cheers qas. how did you work out 35£, thats with your annual payment for line rental? I'm swaying towards Infinity now, I'd ditch my landline but my old man wants me to keep it. i doubt the 40GB allowance would be enough . so i can log in to all these FON and OPENZONE networks?
---------- Post added at 12:23 ---------- Previous post was at 12:05 ----------
also line rental saver is for 12 months, not the full 18?

Re: Fibre Optic Offers
Why are you confusing the issue why not just go with BT for the lot ?
Or am I missing something.
Don't forget to mention if you want to retain the same telephone number that you currently have

Maybe it is, but what I'm unsure about is if you can physically have a phone line with one company and fibre BB with another.
I got no idea so you may need to check that out, me personally for the sake of a few quid I wouldn't bother, because if you develop a problem with your line who do you blame it on?

If your willing to take the gamble, you have to be willing to accept the risk.
So lets say BT get your broadband sorted but in the mean time your phone line goes down, who do you blame it on, who does the work.
I could be talking complete tosh here but I've come accross this situation (in life) before and you can end up pulling your hair out, for me it's still worth paying the extra £100-200 quid a year for a bit of piece of mind.

Re: Fibre Optic Offers
Doesn't make much difference. You get the same crap with BT for phone and broadband, completely separate departments and completely separate service.
Voice faults tend to get priority so you should always report problems to your telephone line provider first, if applicable. If for example there is audible noise on your line killing your broadband, report it as a voice fault not a broadband fault. Otherwise, broadband only faults go to your broadband provider.
I'm on £35 a month because when I signed up Infinity was £25 and line rental was £10.

Thanks for that wee snipit of information qas
I personally still wouldn't bother with the 2 providers, but then again I like an easy life.

Re: Fibre Optic Offers
The contract on the phone line is 12 months. It's only 18 months for Infinity, but then you are saving the £100 install fee, getting 3 months discount, and free migration if you move, something most other providers charge for. BT only charge around a third the monthly rental if you cancel early, which isn't too bad either.
The sly bit is where they charge you a penalty fee for not making free phone calls.
