FOB/ Cable broadband options with no phone line required?

Hi guyz...

Is Virgin Media the only FOB/cable broadband which requires no telephone line?

I was not quite sure whether plusnet and BT infinty requires a telephone line...

Yeah, VM seem to be the only line-rental-free ISP.

If you are in a Virgin Media Cable Broadband area then your broadband comes down an underground cable unlike other ISP's that have to use a BT phone line.

no i am not in a VM cable broadband area.
i was at my previous address and with VM.
since i moved to my current address in august i had to be content with VM national broadband and i am fed up of the speed.

i am surprised why BT infinity need a seperate phone line (as they also call themselves FOB and offer speeds which equates to cable BB)

As you are not in a cable area you will need a BT phone line eve if you go with Virgin National.

It appears that BT still use their phone lines for Infinity.
