That's the bit I can't find. Where does it say that?
And btw, I was 9a and got Infinity in December 2010. So something's askew about the dates you've suggested.

Re: BT Infinity installed
Are you sure you were on 9a? That wasn't even announced until December 2011:
http://www.openreach.co.uk/orpg/home...es/nga03311.do
It doesn't specifically date 9b anywhere, we just know from how the numbering works that it'll mostly come after 9a. Even BT themselves don't have fixed dates.
(The big spreadsheet says RG41 was mostly phase 4a)

Re: BT Infinity installed
That list is 8a 8b and 9a, expected before end of 2012.
I don't think the "confirmed dates" usually show up on the line checker until about ~6 months before.
Incidentally just had an Openreach engineer round, once again highly competent and well equipped, got my problem sorted first-time and my line's back down to <20ms latency

Re: BT Infinity installed
Oh yeah - I see. We were pre 9a.
Anyway, Qasi, most helpful. My mate has some hope to fall back on.

Re: BT Infinity installed
So how's it going a few months on?
Thinking about getting Infinity installed soon, just wondering how you've found it over the longer term?

Re: BT Infinity installed
I've had BT Infinity (plus VM 50) since late 2010. BT Infinity is fine 38/8. Peak times slow down to 25/7 sometimes. Latency is steady but it starts at a higher base than VM's latency. Certainly better for MW3 gaming than VM.
When my area gets Infinity FTTP 100/30, I'd have to think hard as to whether or not I could justify keeping the VM circuit.

Re: BT Infinity installed
I've not seen any peak time slow-downs at all, and I'm in a pretty high takeup/congested area. Speedtests always hit full, and a single download from my own server always gets full speed as well, while needing 5-6 to max out my VM line at the same time.

same here, never seen a slow down on Infinity either, even during the most busy times.
