Fibrecity/Cityfibre

Does anybody have any idea what happened to the failed Bournemouth Fibrecity scheme?
I know in January Cityfibre took it over and in June promised to repatch/repair the incomplete work by Fibrecity but i've not seen any work taking place and as far as I know the few people who were actually connected have not been approached about any resumed service?
There used to be a good FibreForum site with info but that seems to have gone the same way as Fibrecity and is now just a spam magnet.

Re: Fibrecity/Cityfibre

I think this was the hole Idea of the councils plan. Get the council buildings done on the cheap then Hope the project folds before consumer version completes and they gambled right it did.

Gave up on it as soon as the Water/sewers company backed out of the agreement to allow access.

Re: Fibrecity/Cityfibre

Hang on minute, you mean to say our Council make plans?! Quick call the Echo! LOL
I thought Fibrecity only linked up the BIC with the town hall before they got the go-ahead to rip up the pavements? What sort of business traffic is going to go between those two?
And if your right it back fired for the council (something they should be used to by now) as they'll probably have to foot the bill to repair all the pavements/holes left by Fibrecity.
