XLN Telecom
Evening all,
Due to a variety of issues with VM - I am forced to move away from them for my Broadband and phone service.
I opted for XLN Telecoms - has anyone had any experience or dealings with XLN. So far, they have done everything they said they would.
Appreciate any comments.

Re: XLN Telecom
hmm i would say to look carefully at there t&c, they have a high connection charge for the calls, if you make calls that is, and they have a fair usage on the broadband, is it the 1 year contract they said? (ARC) still legally valid till december 2012 so if you dont give them 42days written notice, it will automatically roll in 2012 till 2013, and if u leave them its £199.99 + VAT had quite a few people i know leaving them over there contract terms and pricing,

Re: XLN Telecom
I was told by the gent the "unlimited" service is capped at 100GB a month - which is fair.
Won't be making calls out as it's for incoming only. It was a 24 month contract.

Re: XLN Telecom
as far as i was aware, the unlimited fair usage was 60GB and anything over that was then chargeable, extra usage is on this page: http://www.xlntelecom.co.uk/business...and-usage.aspx i would state to get it in writing of them that it is 100GB fair usage that they are offering you, and not to sign anything till you get it all on pen and paper
---------- Post added at 23:08 ---------- Previous post was at 23:04 ----------
also on the FAQ
http://www.xlntelecom.co.uk/help-topic.aspx?S=20&T=161
this states it is a fair usage then £4 for 5 Gigabytes, and then If you exceed 100 gigabytes, they will regrade your speed to 512 kilobits per second

Re: XLN Telecom
Just a little bit of any update - line was installed this morning and due to a messup - theres a slighty delay on the BB activation. I was amazed to hear, XLN sales rep that signed me up ask for my bank details, I asked him why? He advised, they would pay £50 into my account for me to go and buy a Pay as you go dongle.. I was a little dubious but they did pay the cash into my account. I must say, despite to bad reviews I am amazed at their service.
