Smallworld HDbox

Hi all,

My first post - so please be gentle with me......

I am the proud new owner of the recent Smallworld hdbox, which is a Topfield CRC-2400 and also a recently acquired Sony bravia 24ex320 hd tv.

Setup itself was virtually automatic and painless and the picture is great, the box seems to perform well and record well.

The one thing I can't figure out is how to make the Sony 'see' that it's got a HD signal and scan in the stations, whilst everything is working - that's purely via the smallworld remote, the Sony tv works fine by selecting hdmi and using the Smallworld remote, but won't autoscan the signals in to itself.

Doesn't sound like a huge problem - but a new tv costing arms and legs which I can't use to full potential is ****ing me off !

That's what its supposed to do. If you mean your TV has a DVB-C (Cable) tuner then that is for use in other european countries that may use cable like we do terrestrial (Freeview).

Hi Chris

It sounds like its working as it is supposed to, but if you want to talk to one of the technical team you can call our Morecambe office on 01524 313131 and ask to speak to one of the technical team. Or you can drop me an email at md@smallworldcable.com and I will forward it one for you.

Glad you liked the box.

Kind regards

David
